Masa Mune breeds champion Akita Dogs as show dogs, working dogs and companions. Established in 1992 by myself & my daughter Santina, with dogs from the well-known U.S. kennels OBJ and Sondaisa lines, Masa Mune has enjoyed success from its first litter on. Consistently earning TOP placements at AKC Regional Specialty's, and at one of them achieving Best in Show status for our very first bitch, BISS CH Ondine's Day Dream, are a testament to our focus on competitive spirit. We believe that soundness and excellence of type, temperament and beauty must all come together in harmony to capture the unique and lovable spirit that is the true Akita Dog.
Akita's from Masa Mune can be found at shows, in service to health-challenged individuals, and in private homes. We show our dogs primarily in California now. I am member of the United Kennel Club. I am the active manager of my small hobby kennel and dedicate many hours every day to the health and happiness of my dogs and the excellence of our bloodlines.
In my next generation of Akitas in 2007 & 2008 I have champion Regalia, Samkita, Akiko, Sondaisa, Goshen, and Touch Stone champion lines. I am thrilled to be able to have such a great foundation. I currently own 6 Akitas 4 live with me, and I co own the others with family & friends.
My dogs are an important part of the family and I raise puppies to be an equally important part of yours. I enjoy spending time educating prospective and new owners on the care and nurturing of a Akita puppy. Please consider setting up a visit with me, and my dogs.
The sires and dams I breed are required to have the appropriate health screenings (hip, elbow.eye) I sell each of my puppies under individualized contracts after careful owner screening and guarantee them against debilitating health defects.
When I am not taking care of the dogs and kennel, I am pursuing other interests. My background in dogs and keen interest in the world of dogs make my kennel competitive, happy and healthy. I am located in Northern California and welcome inquiries from those with a serious interest in raising an outstanding and loving Akita.
