My fisrt Akita finished her AKC championship winning BEST IN SHOW!
The first litter I produced in 1995 gave me 3 AKC champions, and 2 International champions.
AKC SPECIALTY WINS BY MY DOGS; 40 wins at multiple regional Akita specialty's in four States, breeder/ owner handled. Including one Best In Show, multi-best of winners, multi- winners dog & winners bitch, two generations of BEST BRED by exhibitor in show, dog and bitch, BEST PUPPY IN SHOW, multi- best puppy in sweeps stakes, multi- best JR puppy in Sweepstakes, and many class placements. Akita National specialty class 2nd place with a huge entry, St louis, Mo.
I am currently the breeder/owner/handler of the number 1 Akita and the number 2 Akita in the USA 2009. My champion Vengeance was also ranked number 2 Akita 2007 in the USA in UKC, with wins that include 12 Best of Breeds, 8 Group first wins, all with competition present, 4 group seconds, and 4 champion of Champions. All three of my Akitas are best of breed winners and group placers.
I have also finished the number 9 English Bulldog in the USA in the UKC, and we also took the honor of winning a reserve BEST IN SHOW from the puppy class with the English bulldog champion Annie that belongs to my good friend Lola.
I hope the quality of my dogs speaks volumes about my passion for the breed, and the dedication to get this TYPE.
The AKC wins could not have been possible without the love and dedication of my daughter Santina who has been showing our Akita's from the time she was 11 years old, and at 17 she has bred, owned and handled her TOP 20 Akita puppy AKC Ch Masa Munes Just Do It, that finished in 6 shows with 5 majors, and was the top winning Akita puppy in 2005 that also won a 3 Regional Akita Specialty s WINNERS DOG & BEST OF WINNERS, He won 3 Best in Sweeps, and a BEST PUPPY IN SHOW!
I am so grateful she did what she was born to do, show dogs its a "gift". Thank you Santina for showing OUR dogs, and for taking your puppy ALL the way! Great job. I thank God for allowing us so many great wins along the way.
I have found many tools over the years that have helped me including AKC judge Pat Hastings, who's home I have been to in evaluations of my litter, and adult dogs back in the 90's when Bob was still alive. AKC judge Karen Armastad, a key to movement video, AKC judge Carmen L. Battaglia Ph.D. on breeding better dogs.
